Brigadier General Eric Motley, CSLI

Eric Motley is a dedicated civil servant and volunteer leader with extensive experience in emergency communications and public safety. He currently serves as a law enforcement officer in the Commonwealth of Virginia and has distinguished himself in the field of emergency management within the region. In addition to his current service, he has previously served as an Emergency Communications Supervisor and Emergency Medical Services (EMS) worker in central Virginia, while also volunteering his time in the Virginia Defense Force and the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary.

Motley has earned numerous certifications in emergency management and public safety, including the Military Emergency Management Specialist (MEMS) and Search and Rescue certifications through the State Guard Association of the United States. He is also certified as an Advanced Emergency Medical Dispatcher, Emergency Police Dispatcher, and Emergency Fire Dispatcher.

In addition to his professional and volunteer service, Motley has held leadership positions in several historic and civic organizations, including the Centennial Legion of Historic Military Commands, the Legion of Frontiersmen, and the Selective Service System. In 2018, he joined the Corps Saint Lazarus International (CSLI), where he continues to dedicate his efforts to the ideals and operations of the Union.
